The One Tree Hill star gave us more dish on her personal taste during the Sigerson Morrison & Rachel Pally fall preview that she hosted in Los Angeles.

WHAT SHE’S STYLIN’: I’m wearing Rachel Pally. She epitomizes chic California girl, but there’s always this element of New York. You can envision a lot of her clothes in the Hamptons on a summer day, and I really respect her for being able to do both. Plus, it’s comfy.

FASHION PHILOSOPHY: I’m a big fan of pieces that aren’t totally basic. I like blazers that can go from day to night—designs that are versatile. I’m also all about being understated. I prefer to highlight my bare back rather than my cleavage or some leg instead of all of it.

SEXY DEFINED: The sexiest thing about any man or woman is something inspiring or stimulating. Someone with an education who can hold a conversation is sexy.

TRADING PLACES: I would love to live in Marc Jacobs’ brain for a day. The documentary of him designing his line and Louis Vuitton’s blew my mind. I would kill to live in Karl Lagerfeld and Phoebe Philo’s minds, too. I look at Phoebe’s outfits and go, “Why didn’t I think of that?” I’m in awe of her. All I have to say for Karl is: Chanel.

JustJared.com recently caught up with Sophia about her new projects and whether she’ll get to do some action work. “It wouldn’t be any action for me, no, but a good cast of characters, and that’s the sort of thing I’m looking for,” she said.

“But of course, when you walk outside of the world, it’s a drama or you’re maybe walking away from comedy, which I love because I’m a goofball,” Sophia continued. “Action, I think, is a great test for actors in general, and I think it’s really enjoyable for us because it lets us push ourselves to a whole new level.”

One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush is moved by what she sees on the runway at the Monique Lhuillier fashion show during NY Fashion Week on Monday (February 15).

Here’s what the 27-year-old star had to share:

JJ: Can you tell us what your favorite thing about Monique is?
SB: Her clothes are just so beautiful – they’re such a throwback to really classic, tailored, feminine design. She can really do anything. I put this dress on today and immediately it reminds me of that era, of Jackie O. It’s just so elegant.

JJ: Are there other designers who evoke that same persona?
SB: Absolutely, I think that’s the fun thing about fashion – it’s all relative to your taste, but I’ve seen so many people looking exquisite. Molly Sims at Diane Von Furstenberg yesterday was just bananas – she’s the ultimate, beautiful beachy girl and I’m trying to think – Melissa George was so classic at Herve [Leger]. But it’s just fun to see how everyone puts their own spin on things. Some people go classic and some people take a risk – it’s inspiring!

After seven years playing fashionista Brooke Davis on the locally filmed TV series “One Tree Hill,” Sophia Bush has become a fixture in the Wilmington area. She can often be spotted hanging with friends in downtown restaurants and clubs, or putting her celebrity to good use at area fundraisers.

“I think people have lost sight of how important it is to give back,” Bush said recently at a fundraiser for the Wilmington Police Recreation Association Officer Down Memorial Wall.

Bush, 27, said her parents always encouraged charity work when she was growing up, and she wants to pass that encouragement on to other young people.
